There’s some actual lore here, if you remember from the iconic “TF2 Scout Facts” where we learned that Scout was cursed by Merasmus after trying to exchange newspaper cream for eternal life. Merasmus must have still had bad memories from his time with Soldier.
Such deep, compelling storytelling I can only find on the Brickiest Brick youtube channel.

Calling it now: in the last comic, Scout is going to find out about Merasmus's backstory, and finally understand why Merasmus punished him for bringing him newspaper cream. After that, he'll find garlic sauce and bring it to Merasmus, who will finally release him back into the real world.
