Manfred Von Richthofen, the Red Baron, was the greatest fighter ace of World War One and perhaps the most famous fighter pilot of all time. Credited with 80 air combat victories, more than any other WWI pilot, he was a brilliant tactician and led his "Flying Circus" to unparalleled success before being shot down and killed in April 1918 at the age of just 25.

I don't know what it is about the editor of these docs. This is the third doc that I've tried to watch on this channel where the music is blaring and drowning out the narrator. This is some pretty shoddy work.

Thanks for the video, although the background music was a bit too loud, competing with the commentary was distracting.

Background airplane noise and music are so loud I can barely hear the narrator.

The music bed blares over the narration.

This is great! Is there a documentary about Eddie Rickenbacker? His life was worthy of remembering also.

The audio is so messed up that I'll have to stop watching this episode. The background noise kills the narration.

I wish I could understand what the narrator is saying but the music and the background noise are just too much to be audible.

It was a wonderful documentary about Red Baron pilot... a famous pilot of Lowftwafa during WW1 ... I think its red color and specific three wing aircraft were remarkable, lethargic, thank you ( history Hit) network page for sharing

The problem these days with a lot of documentary's, films, and TV programs, is the music is so loud you can't hear whats been said by the narrator or actors and it takes away the enjoyment of the whole experience.

Captain Roy Brown donated the seat of the Fokker triplane in which the German flying ace made his final flight to the Royal Canadian Military Institute (RCMI) in 1920. Apart from the triplane's seat, the RCMI, in Toronto, also holds a side panel signed by the pilots of Brown's squadron. The engine of Richthofen's Dr.I was donated to the Imperial War Museum in London, where it is still on display. The museum also holds thr Baron's machine guns. The control column (joystick) of Richthofen's aircraft and his woolen flying boots can be seen at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. The Australian National Aviation Museum has what is suspected to be the fuel tank of Richthofen's Dr.I however there is no conclusive proof.

Jagdgeschwader 71 Richthofen, the first jet squadron of the Bundeswehr, was set up in 1959 by Erich Hartman, the most successful fighter pilot of all times with 352 confirmed aerial victories. The nose painting of the F-86 Sabre, the so-called black tulip, was his symbol in WII
