Put a piece of bread in there to soften it up.

I've used bread, but then I got a little tile like hers(in a bear shape). I love it because I just throw the tile in and never have to think about it again. The bread works, but I can't be trusted to keep up with it!

We use the silica packets that come in beef jerky for this. Works great

Just put a marshmallow in your container. It works perfectly!

Those things work great! I never get lumps in my brown sugar or white sugar. It works in All sugars!

My mom has been using one for YEARS and warning brown sugar can stick to the disc. We usually soak the disc in warm water. That really helps with dissolving the rock hard sugar.

An apple slice works too. Also, rolling it up tight in it's original bag also keeps it soft. 😁👍

the tile is porous and slowly releases water! you can also irrigate plants using a similar material

I'd go ahead and support a small business with this too. Ironically, I had gotten my brown sugar saver from a yarn festival and it's in the shape of an alpaca. They gave them out as party favors at the door one year. Still have it.
