If the content is good 1 hour isn’t enough. If it’s boring 1 minute is too long. That’s it.

I keep telling people. If the content is good the time is irrelevant. Make good content, be consistent, and everything else will take care of itself. Great Video Sean.

When just watching content, it's common to glance at the length before clicking. If I've only got a few minutes it's going to be a short video. But if I'm just relaxing and want to have something interesting in the background I choose a longer length. But if something sounds interesting the length isn't a factor most of the time. As a creator I find that the things I'm happy with typically end around 14 minutes

I Like To keep them around 8-9 minute and still do pretty well! I honestly just keep it to what feels right and focus on being consistent!

That was an actually good answer. As a teacher, I was always told to record long videos, but I understood my lessons are much better if they're bite-sized. Thanks for taking some burden off my shoulders!

For my niche 20 min or longer is the sweet spot.

I always new the 1 to 5 second rule keeps the viewer around So as I've advanced I run a min of 3 camera's, on long vid's up to 5 camera's and I have found that my main lighting on me is covered with a orange color sheet This along with several other concepts has gone a long way in building a channel with information on powerstrokes that has been beaten down by so many

Very true. I agree that’s why I make content precisely sweet and straight to the point and leave it there..

Great video. I was worried my content is not long enough on my new YT channel. You made me feel better!

I don't think I have a video over 21 minutes. But YT knows people love long content and that's why podcasts are on the up! I do tutorials for making money online and I don't like to be longer than 12 minutes.

Thanks for the great tip. I published my first video last weekend. I am gonna start making some shorts this weekend (along with long form content!).

I do get a message that YouTube only monetize on 8 minute videos

I have been experimenting with this as well and so far my longest video which is 50 minutes long is doing the best. I definitely think it’s good to make shorter ones as well to engage with different audiences and sometimes I will even make a short of the same exact topic that I make a longer video about to reach more people

This is the perfect length for a video(s): (imo)

1 - A 15s/60s Short, that links to - 2 - a normal YouTube video with a (insert duration here) view duration. Based on the content and how it’s presented. Like teasing someone to want more.

- But you only need to make 2 videos to get yourself out there. Utilize the regular app and cater to your audience/niche and make videos based on what’s the norm for the video you’re doing.

Then, put your stream schedule on that video and livestream accordingly.

The benefit of doing this is that it increases the likelihood users on the app will see you live on YouTube.

Because when you go live, the app places a very noticeable graphic around your YouTube channel pfp.

So if Johnny and Samantha are both scrolling on YouTube, Johnny is in Shorts while Samantha is in the regular mode, they each stumble upon both the videos you made and check the link, or see that you’re live and then you have a new watcher.

Lol
0 turns to 1

The only time limit that matters is shorts because they have to be either 15 or 60.

I think it's funny that my family and friends keep telling me to only release 30 minute videos, but my best performing videos tend to be my 1+ hour long streams that I release mostly unedited
