… and this is one of the many reasons why I do not have social media. Life is great without it 😌

Technology is a great tool, but we demonstrably use it to our detriment at every turn

If you are only interested in looks then you don't have a relationship. You have a sex partner.

This has affected us all, and in every area of life. Porn, dating apps, social media. The constant exposure to the most attractive people, most beautiful art, most intelligent conversations, tastiest foods etc. We have dulled our senses and are now numb to anything but the highest quality. I still remember when the side of a woman’s hip would turn me on, now Erectile dysfunction drugs are marketed to 25 year olds.

And one thing the internet has created is the need for more. More content, more experiences, more people. The illusion that there’s better out there. No one wants to commit to a relationship anymore when there’s a lot ‘better options’. Sad

And just wait until it’s nothing but AI enhanced or AI generated “people”…. Outlook not so good.

Which is exactly why porn is trash and will corrupt you and your relationships in so many ways.

Beauty is only deep, in a world where we are taught not to keep. When you base your life on looks, that is all you will have. Fast food, cheap knock-offs, internet love/divorce, all is efemeral, fleeting, just a moment in this flash of spark called life. The Fith Element is Love choose well.

That third painting is remarkable. I don't have the vocabulary of an art critic but it blends caricature in its proportions with extremely life-like details.
It has a way of holding my attention...

decision fatigue it creates, unable to choose one .... hoping for better choice in every corner

Was married 1997 to 2001. Late 2000, I went to a mall and saw young women preparing for prom. They were young, fit, cared about their appearance, and I was married to an overweight woman who had zero interest in maintaining herself in any way, and wore the same dull, dark, stinking clothes nearly every day. That day I became directly angry that I was with such a loss of a woman. A year later, after suggesting counseling and being told by her "I don't see any need for counseling" I divorced her. And good riddance. Say what you want, but if one person makes the effort on themselves and tries to preserve a relationship while the other doesn't, then I suggest leaving that person, or even better, don't involve with them to begin with. Alas, hope someone will 'grow' or 'better' themselves springs eternal.

More highly attractive is because of plastic surgery becoming semi normal for some.
