Tips and tricks for using Dupli-color paint pen

Like I said in the video, it's near impossible to perfectly fix rock chips but you can still make them look a lot better! here are some tips and tricks I use. This is a friend's car and it's used for wheeling. He just wanted it to look better so I wasn't taking a crazy amount of time on it, just using it as an example. Dupli-Color paint spends works great and is an inexpensive way to fix blemishes. The more time you take the better it will look!

I'm aware there are better tools and ways to make chips and scratches, but for this application it was great!

Alright so I'm a woman. How you explain on how to and tips, makes a lot of good sense. It's like me painting nail polish on my nails lol soft and gentle and dip out the big chuck of excess of nail polish paint before painting your finger nails.

Actually you can get perfect result if you put more time and effort on it.

1-First you should clean the surface from dirt/grease, then dry it.
2-Remove the rusty surface by the rough tip of the touchup paint.(or sanding)
3-Apply touch up paint on multiple layers as needed (make it even with rest of the body paint) and wait until it dries.
4-Smooth sanding (2000, 3000, 5000)
5-Apply clear coat, if it's humpy/bumpy, repeat step 4
6-Polish the spot

I got a big chip on my right fender. I used this method. Now if you don't know it's there you won't see it. It came out pretty good
