US To Deploy Additional Warplanes & Fighter Jets After Iran's Threat to Israel

The US plans to increase its military presence in West Asia by deploying additional warships and fighter jets. According to the Pentagon, the move is aimed at supporting Israel and protecting US personnel deployed in the region. The decision follows threats of retaliation from Iran and its allies. Iran's threat comes after the killing of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders in July. Most recently, Hamas’ political chief Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran on July 31. Israel has denied any involvement in Haniyeh's death but confirmed that its strikes resulted in the deaths of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut and Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif in Gaza's Khan Younis.
