Y'ALL. If I've said it once, I've said it a million times: Don't be afraid of the fringe! It's amazing and fun and not at all as scary as people make it out to be. The secret: It must be done right. Here are a few tips and tricks to make sure you, too, can enjoy this wonderfully versatile piece of a great hairstyle.

Simply awesome, as always! Every hairdresser would use a round brush to STRAIGHTEN my bangs - it looked so disconnected to my wavy/curly hair. Anything I've seen on YouTube for curly hair is either really curly bangs, or no bangs on really curly hair.

Thanks for the tip of going from pupil to pupil instead of eyebrow edges. That gave me the courage to do it because it didn’t seem like a huge deal. I was conservative trimming, going to my nose length and it’s perfect. Now I can wear my part in the middle sometimes!

Future video idea...there’s not a curly cut stylist available to you, what cuts should you ask your stylist for to work well with curls? People are often confused by what layers do and that there are different ways to do layers, etc. You could use photos to explain different cuts maybe. Curlies often know they want “more layers” but don’t know how to communicate what they mean to a stylist.

I absolutely LOVE your haircut! And I appreciate the tips on clipping a fringe! I have a football field forehead (lots of real estate!) and for years, I had wispy-ish bangs. BUT when I stopped flat ironing and curls and waves showed up, I thought I'd let my bangs grow so that I could flip those wavy beauties to the side. WELL, my hair has attitude and prefers a center part (OMG) open to fringing it up again because of your video! THANK YOU for the info!
