For those who know nothing about aviation. The Ryanair landing was with a Constant crosswind within limits which is not a problem at all. All other landings were wind shear or gusts. Those are problematic as they change direction and speed.

For those who don't know, usually to land in Madeira, pilots need special training for it because of the strong winds. You should search of the airport, it's actually amazing how they added more runway !!

Say what you want about the business but as a crew Ryanair have some of the best pilots in the industry. The sheer amount of flights they do mean that they do several take offs and landings in the space of a day which leads to a great deal of experience for these pilots.
