Just bought the 4TB T7. The Black Friday deal is so hard to pass. I know I will never get the speed of the T9 on my mac so this T7 is a good enough stopgap for now. Hopefully more manufacturers will start carrying usb 4 drives next year.

I have one of each of these, both 4TB. Love both of them; travel with the faster T9, while the T7 stays home connected to my NAS for additional storage.

Copying a 10GB file from my Windows desktop to the SSDs, the T7 did it in 18 seconds. The T9 did it in 11 seconds.

My PC has a USB-C port, but it's a 3.0 port, not a 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. Can I still use the USB-C cable on the T7 Shield, or do I have to use the USB-A cable?

As technology is evolving fast and prices are dropping accordingly, it's probably better to not invest/pay more now for a technology that we may need in the future… a technology that will be cheaper at that time.
