Join me as I build the world's largest bubble machine! From the initial design and planning stages to the intricate building process, watch as I assemble a giant frame, bubble solution containers, and an innovative bubble mechanism. After some testing and fine-tuning, witness the machine in action, creating enormous bubbles. Also included are some reflections on the engineering process.

I recommend switching the dawn pro for dawn ultra. Dawn pro has some anti sudsing ingredients in the latest versions that cause it to not work as well. Looks like you got good results anyway though. Nice job

You are absolutely living the dream. I hope this gig works out for you forever. As an old engineer who has to build "productive" stuff for my day job, and only build fun stuff in my spare time, it brings me joy that you can do this as your day job.
Keep up the good work.

You gotta take that rig through a parade!

Love the hypothesis, great video 👍🥰
A bubble is always heavy, due to gravity.
Please experiment using a heat source, so that it becomes a "hot air bubble" - this can be tuned to a gravity neutral, or even rising bubble.
If you also use a fan, you don't need a moving vehicle.
I experimented with this - small scale/short time using a hairdryer (pulled back a little) as an air supply. That was very promising 😊

I needed to see the failure this morning, i too can overlook the track to the solution. Seeing someone who is definitely smarter than me struggle and be confident in the solution and still going "nope nope I'm still wrong, hang on this is the part where we learn why" i needed this.

Next: we drive in a circle and connect the ends, creating the first soap based wormhole

This video shows that nearly always the simplest design is the best (not always the easiest to find)

As a fellow mechanical engineer, who has spent quite a lot of time designing a foam canon and working with a lot of soap, well done! 👏

An infinite bubble of course cant be done, as the bubble bursts when the liquid in the bubble falls to the buttom side and the top of the bubble gets to fragile.

One idea that would be extremely cool: put a fog machine on the roof of the car and make huge fog bubbles! 🍾😊

Have you tried using remote control to close the wand arms and, therefore, the bubble? If timed before it bursting you’d have some actual bubbles.

You're gonna be a wonderful father! You send such a great message when you state frustrations and mistakes. This message is far more positive and inadvertently supportive to anyone watching that needed encouragement on their projects. I love this aspect about you, that you impact people far more than you or they realize. Keep up the great work man!

LOVE IT!! One of my favorite places in my hometown was a children’s science center and you would step onto this raised platform that was sunk into the ground next to a moat of bubble solution and there was a pulley system that would lift a rope hoop up… needless to say it was not 50ft, but it was always cool as hell to get a floor-to-ceiling bubble tube that was at least 20ft pop right in front of you and watch it disappear

Great idea! Those bubbles at the end were ridiculous

I guess all bubbles burst as the water evaporates… you should collaborate with someone who lives in a tropical area where the humidity is higher and see if you can get the bubbles to last longer.

Just visit Canada, we have had one going for almost 20 years !

i believe the turbulence left behind the car may be acting too aggressive on the bubble, which would explain why it seems to pop at random points. i believe putting this contraption on a fastback sedan or coupe, and/or mounting it significantly higher would likely yield better results.

It’s honestly amazing how elegant you solved you initial problems. You didn’t just throw more materials at it and basically overengineer the thing, but you actually made it simpler

Team up with slomo guys!! Also I think you can add glycerin to make it stronger

Would be cool to inject smoke. Into the bubble as it's being formed.

Hey! Just found this channel and love it! ❤ I have always loved engineering specifically “useless engineering” that’s just fun and even a child could understand.
