it's an amazing dfilm, i can't understand why but i cried. inside me there are a thousand emotions that I can not understand. it's all so devastating. to understand it you have to watch it many times, you will discover every little detail that makes the movie extraordinary. you see the suffering of society that has already gone over the edge.

Incredibly insightful, visually inspiring packed with content that really makes you think about a culture so radically different from our own, so very unique. It really is a must see.

I just watched the entire film and realized a dark-cynical film could easily be made of the US. 1. Show our productivity and its cost in terms of division of wealth and shrinking middle class 2. opioid epidemic 3. growing internal political tension and mistrust of neighbors and family members 4. rampant consumerism 5. mental health crisis 6. rise of authoritarianism 8. crime. Add ominous music and there you are. I did enjoy seeing the people, their ambition, struggle, humor, sense of loneliness we have here. I hope for better relation of people throughout the world.

As a chinese, I know all this from my bones, but western audience can only see this from the work like this one, which is telling the truth silently, no doubt it is a good documentary film, but I think it is far from a great one. The film tells poorer bottom with 95% time, leaves 5% for riches, it missed to show the valuable middle classes, what a pity.

Fantastic film, a really intimate look, the part with the sex toys was almost horrorlike with the lined rows of latex bodies on hooks, the sound work is also perfectly fitting

As a Chinese, it may express and explain very small portions of Chinese culture. Feel like a fake documentary. I mean it seems like people direct how to act in the show sometimes. Personally dislike it and feel very biased.
