Welcome to my channel! In this video, I will be performing the Study No. 3 from Op. 60 written by Matteo Carcassi.
Carcassi, a renowned Italian composer and guitarist of the 19th century, created a vast collection of beautiful and technically challenging pieces for the guitar. His Op. 60 collection of short Etudes should have a must learn volume for every guitarists and guitar students.
I'm always amazed when guitar students only play the etudes as practicing only the technique, even though they provide plenty of opportunity to practice and experiment with different musical expressions, not to mention how much more fun it is in this way to practice the basic technical elements of the instrument. Carcassi's brilliant study No 3 from his Op 60 is one of them.
