The number of CRNA graduating and the fear of them getting full autonomy is what is causing Anesthesiology's competitiveness to tank.

Nowadays, Non Us IMG should focus on step 2 ck ? Befoz step 1 became pass fail.
And is step 3 play role for matching?

Yeah....as a current applicant, I must say. Anesthesiology seems to have become somewhat more competitive this year compared to previous years. I'm not sure the past Matching Outcomes data reflects current competitiveness.

Could you tell more about the importance of research, publications, work and volonteer experiences while matching? For now as an IMG I only have step 1 score. Thanks!

Are US IMGS US citizens in medical universities outside the US?

So what exactly is making the field less competitive?

I’m a nursing student that could possibly want to transition into med school to specialize in anesthesiology but becoming a crna seems more feasible these days, but I’m interested in seeing what the market looks like for an MD if these schools are just pumping out crna’s and AAs faster than ever before ?
