Have to contradict a bit here. You should choose the largest tube diameter range that includes your tire size. For example, if you have a 25mm tire and can choose either 20-25mm or 25-32mm tubes, you should always use the 25-32mm. If your tire size is at the top of the range, the butyl is stretched as thin as the manufacturer thinks is safe, leading to easier punctures. If your tire size is at the bottom of the tube range, the butyl will still be nice and thick after inflating, making punctures less likely.

This system must be ran by the government. Why not put the size of the tube on the actual tube? I have a tube in my hand and apparently there is no way to figure out the size of it!

my tire is 24 inches, I got a tube that was 24 inches.

the tube was WAY too big! so matching numbers didn't work for me. -_-

I had a 28 x 1.85 tube in a street bike . Not mountain bike the Walmart sold no 28 inche tubes. They had 26, 27.5, 29 tunes. I had an existing new 29 at home the slime brand. It was too big. The existing one bought in past was a 28inch will 27.5 fit. Now where did I see 28 inch tube on shelf

I have a Novara bicycle my husband bought for me a few years ago. It's been a while since I've rode it and I haven't ever changed the tires or inner tubes out since we got it. I am finding it very hard to determine what size inner tube I need. The side of the tire reads . . . 25-622. HELP!? I don't see any of these dimensions for inner tubes on the REI website . . . ? Can anyone help me PLEASE?
