Wayne took a bullet for his little brother, whom he tormented all his life. I gained so much respect for him after this scene.

The wonder years is the best show from back in the year 1988 until 1993

Maybe Wayne thought all those years he tormented and humiliated Kevin, decided he deserved a break

This was one of those really beautiful and moving moments from the show that has always stayed with me. Wayne is usually portrayed as the bullying elder brother (predominantly because he's seen through the eyes of the adolescent Kevin) and it was so nice to see a scene where we got to see another side to him and see the bond between the two brothers.

My favorite scene from the entire series

Because Kevin is always out of trouble and he’s assuming it’s Wayne’s fault because he’s always in trouble Kevin isn’t.

I think it's instinctive for older siblings to protect their younger counterparts. Growing up, my older sister tormented me constantly. But when anyone else was around, including our parents, she was my protector

I'm suprised Wayne did that for Kevin.

Jack Arnold was the best father when it came to his kids .

All those year's of Wayne trolling Kevin always finding some way to antagonise his little brother and he turns around and makes up for it in this scene. (At the end of the day, no matter what happens they're brother's.)🫡 bittersweet.

I think Wayne was actually proud of Kevin. His own little butthead brother actually through the most amazing party, in their own home, and he missed it.

Way to take the heat for Kevin, Wayne. But let me get something straight here. As soon as Kevin's parents took off and were out of sight, Kevin found it as an opportunity to invite friends over and goof off. Is that it? Way to take advantage of having a place all to yourself, huh?

Why was Wayne taking the blame for? He didn't do it. It was Kevin who was the one threw the party at their house. I was not pleased when Jack silenced Kevin when he tried to explain that he threw the party at their house. Norma could've got mad at Jack for silencing Kevin. She could've been like, "Jack, Don't say that at him. Kevin wanted to tell you something." I want everyone to listen to it again at the 0:19 minute mark when Jack did that at Kevin. He didn't want to hear Kevin's excuse. Kevin could've been like, "I am not going to stay out of it, Dad. Wayne didn't do it, I did it. I threw the party at this house. And you owe me an apology for saying that."

They always said that when you come back from Vacation the best gift you can give yourself is a clean house. I always made sure the house was clean when folks came home from vacation. I would work in the Daytime. The Floor was mopped, the rug was cleaned and vacuumed, the kitchen was sterile and clean and free of dishes. I also would leave them some money since I knew they may have been "semi skint" aka "semi broke". They would take the Money buy groceries, take care of their business, and we would order Pizza.

Growing up my parents will beat me up for things my younger sister would do. They said they beat me up for lying and pretending I didn't do it. It was easier for me to accept the blame and get punished without the beating.

I wonder if Kevin and Wayne ever told Jack and Norma the truth that the party was all Kevin and not Wayne. Maybe the day that Jack died? I guess we will never know the answer to that question now, will we?

Even if Wayne told, would they have believed him?
