How do become a millionaire investing in airlines? Start as a billionaire

He sold the airline so he can raise cash to buy the whole company of Southwest. Southwest is only $14 billion and Warren Buffett already expressed that he would rather buy a whole biz. You will see. Sometime next year he will come and buy one of the airlines. WB s playing games.

Buffett selling airlines, Elon Musk tweeting Tesla too high, Oil is cheaper than beer, 30M unemployed. Meanwhile, S&P just had the best money in 45 years... Yikes.

I bought jet around $12.50 a month and a half ago. And bought in DAL & UAL individual shares around $20. Hold for the Long haul. And add a few if it dips lower. Travel isn't going anywhere EVER! It needs time that's all. Great plan for people who can wait!

I'm still holding on to the few shares I have in the airline's. People are acting like were going belly up as a country....one day who knows when these companies will be profitable again.

As for me. I'm staying in....I'm in it for the long haul!

Can you imagine people not flying for the next 5 years? I don’t.
Cyclical industry, every 10-11 years is the same story.

Smooth move by buffett selling to get under the 10% ownership reporting requirement then silently selling it all 😂

I think when you invest at a bad time, particularly with such solid companies, the smart thing to do would be to either hang in for the ride or double down taking advantage of the "discount" so to speak.
But, I guess given his age, he doesn't have much time for airlines to go back to the highs they were at.

It's crazy how Buffett is always logical about investments and NEVER makes something emotional.

How do you feel about Broadcom and it's massive dividend? It's had constant growth over the past 5 years and might profit majorly off of 5g technology.

Ah, airlines were always too risky to me. I think this selloff might be sending a message saying that the recovery is probably longer than originally expected.

I was expecting big sell off on Monday but nope... The drop was pretty gradual. Still, these stocks are very very cheap right now.

*The CEO after buffett will likely give dividends, I'm in no rush to see buffett go, but it'd be interesting to see how the dividend policy would change, perhaps it shouldn't*
