Thank you very much, I hope I can walk there soon. Tokyo fascinates me: trains burrow, stack one over the other crossing the river, small house congests along concrete banks, but nearby super modern towers stand on a open square. A 17th century Confucius temple stands solemnly in ancient colors. Trees and garden in autumn rain. A walk in such short distance is through centuries of time. A similar but grander, more beautiful version of Taipei street scene. Temple's style fit my concept of ideal temple. In Taiwan Confucius temples have red columns and yellow roofs, somewhat gaudy for modern eyes. Having oneself lost in this place and explore can be a real venture.

Thank you for doing these walks. I've been hooked for about a week now.
Almost every day I watch at least one of your walks with a few friends while we talk about what's going on in our lives and sometimes drift into philosophy.
We all wish we could visit Japan, but we lack the necessary funds.
One day we will make it though, I'm sure.
I'll have time to learn some Japanese in the meantime, because of course I want to be prepared 😅
