POV My Last First Date: I was so nervous but when I walked in, we locked eyes and he took me into a warm short hug. I realized he was nervous too because he asked me how I was doing twice. We acknowledged then laughed it off and the awkwardness subsided. We asked each other to share some stories about our life, while keeping things lighthearted and throwing in some jokes. This made the convo effortless and enjoyable for both of us. I knew I could trust him because it felt safe to maintain eye contact, not awkward at all. We relive this every time we hang out. Old boomer here: my advice: no dating apps. Go out, join book, film, hiking, whatever clubs and meet people. You’ll make friends and whoever accepts a date, is attracted to you. They’ll already know you and on the first date you can relax and let her know you more, or another side of you.

You do not have to lose your time. If she is late to reply in first messages, then find another woman. This means if she has not taught herself to answer messages within logical time, then it means she has also many other faults. One of the first women must teach themselves, is to never delay in messages. If you delay in messages you lose immidiately 80% of the man trust. Thus replying in time is essential.

The guy being more nervous makes sense. If the date doesn't go well, the girl could have somebody else tomorrow or even later that night if its still early. An average guy isn't gonna have another shot for a couple weeks at best, most likely over a month.
