'He never had a license': Michigan driver back in court after viral Zoom hearing

Corey Harris appeared back in Michigan court after going viral for appearing in digital court from behind the wheel while facing charges of a suspended driver’s license. The judge revealed that Harris never held a license in Michigan, or any of the other 49 U.S. states.

Here are the details:
Guy didnt pay child support. A drivers license suspension is one of the penalties for not paying child support. In Michigan, law allows a license suspension even if you do not currently have one. That way, if you try to get one, the suspension can be automatically applied.
This dude gets pulled over and doesnt produce a drivers license for the officer. He gets a ticket and a court date. He calls into his court date via Zoom while DRIVING. Judge looks at the record in front of him and sees he has a license suspended on his record. Orders him to Jail.
Guy goes on social media and defends himself saying he paid child support so that suspension should of been lifted.
New court date as shown in this video. Judge did some digging. Turns out the guy didnt pay the court fees to have the suspension removed so his sob story is BS. But on top of that, this guy has never had a drivers license EVER. And the guy is playing dumb about not knowing he never had a drivers license because he got an ID card in December 2023, which people get for themselves when they dont have a drivers license to use as identification.

At first, this case just humored me and it seemed almost unbelievable. After I watched the clips about 50 times, I think I fell in love with the Judge's demeanor and reserved yet direct temperament. He showed the other side of the justice system that many who complain about public workers, don't often see. They(we) encounter a lot of "challenges" from the public and are expected to be unemotional. This Judge exercised the PERFECT balance of authority, intelligence, and he kept his cool when many others would've thrown the book at this defendant. Wishing everyone the best❤
