I'm literally in 1970's Bombay and am about to find out that my long lost father is the gangster kingpin I have sworn to kill as revenge for something to do with destiny and fate. But first I have to dance with a sassy woman in a sari with a beehive hairstyle

Kishore Kumar is such a treat to listen to. Great selection of songs. I grew up listening to my dad play these on cassette tapes every weekend on an old Fisher with tower speakers. At the time it was the most expensive thing he had bought for my mom's birthday after just a few years in America. It might not have been the most advanced player but it was enough for them. Even if I can't always understand what they are saying they hold a special and sentimental place in my heart.

im glad to see you showcase old timey Bolly songs, they were definitely at their grooviest which im able to appreciate more as an adult than i did as a kid when my father played them in the car.
Now I just secretly enjoy his playlist and Diwana dil, Main shair and Jahan teri ye nazar are some we often listen to!

What has Bollywood music succumbed to now? With so little back then, these songs just refuse to stop flying to the stars!!!
Superb production quality back then.

Chief! The legendary composers (who are sadly no longer alive) are blessing you from up above. I'm literally taken back to my childhood with my dad's LP playing in the background

Your channel is such a joy, it helps me a lot when I'm working or just chilling. If you have any ex-yugoslavian records I'd give an arm and a leg to hear them, I think a lot of people would enjoy them as well. :D
