Recovering from swarming, what a hive should look like

Amy and I visit a member of Beekeeping 24/7 who has been having swarming issues with her two first year hives. Having never done this before she was anxious about if they were on the road to recovery or would more need to be done. Its nearly 90F so watch how we deal with the heat at the end of the video.

Hi seen vid of old feeler has had bee's from 1968 in 1980's and still today treating mites by civing powder sugar into The hive getting the bee's to groom themselves The mites fall to the bottom of the hive so you can monitor the hives for mites, thank you for your bee knowledge cheers 🍾🥂 🍻 🐝

Awesome. Always fun to teach a newbie and pass on skills that make things easier. I love those saskatraz bee's, but unfortunately we can't bring them into New Zealand yet, hopefully that will change one day but we just got a Carniolan breeder in the south island, ours (central Otago) are Italian+British dark hybrids and they're grumpy on a good day. Great honey producers, not too prone to swarming but aggressive temperament not quite as bad as Africanised bee's but a close second, especially when queenless. Can't wait to get some Carniolan nucs this year😂I'm soooo glad we don't have bears⚡😂 well that's a novel way to clean your suit, I hope you put some soap in your pocket before you jumped in 😂 we'll happily trade, it's mid winter here and 1 Celsius / 33 f so it's actually warmed up a little. great video and always great to watch someone learning.👋👍

I have my queen from… older, I was hoping to take a frame with fresh eggs and let them make a new queen, do you have any videos about? How I should do it? And reintroduce back then after that killing the old queen?
