Omnistick ssd is
NAND, where each individual memory cell can only handle a limited number of writes before wearing out. How many writes they can handle is often specified in 1, 000 or more, they cannot handle current transients and spikes, humidity heat or cold. Which means that transfer to omnistick does not mean protection of material forever. In reality, it is the same protection as the memory device the material is already on. In addition, every time copying of digital material takes place, some of the data is lost during the transfer.

In the Google play store the app is rated 1.6. Raters say it's a bad purchase and do not recommend it. Too hard to use and not one button operation. I have bought one and got the app before reading the reviews. I uninstalled it and not sure of wanting to use it. Most of the reviews say customer service is not helpful. I'd like to use it.

Bought similar one years ago, incompatibility problems. Bought a popular brand external backup hard drive, not tech savvy enough to use it. It is hard to find an honest review of these gadgets. If your photo, etc., files are not organized compatible with stick, may not work properly. Computer and phone industry needs to produce simple, reliable, backup solutions for non-tech savvy users.

Todo es mentira. Cuando salió a la venta compré uno y me salió a $75 . No trajo ni instrucciones y me enviaron uno USB y yo pedí uno tipo C para celular, llegó dentro de un bolsito plástico transparente. Nunca hizo nada al conectarlo, luego me entero que se necesita un software para que grabe las fotos y el mío no tenía nada. Traté de comunicarme con la distribuidora pero no tienen teléfono, ni dirección, ni email. Son puro FRAUDE!

This is a *terrible* backup solution. It's just a glorified USB drive with a file copy app it's 4 times as expensive as a regular USB. Also, it is annoying for people to backup their data and most people aren't going to keep it offsite to protect from a fire, etc.

I have just purchased one & wish that I hadn't ! It's useless, made 6 copies of each of 2, 000 photos & took me a week to delete them!
