Different types of Evaluation: How many types of evaluation are there?
Basically, there are two types of evaluation, formative evaluation, and summative evaluation. Formative evaluations are carried out in the beginning and during the implementation of the project/program or any intervention, summative evaluation is carried out at the end.
Within this formative evaluation, there are different types of evaluation such as needs assessment, process evaluation, etc. Whereas impact evaluation, outcome evaluation, interrupted time series, and regression discontinuity design are some of the widely used summative evaluations.
