Imagine if the next DLC actually has an interesting gameplay and story to add - such as bringing back up zombies similar to The Mother from The Following. The DLC would have Aiden be running from zombies, when a stranger all the sudden jumps out from the shadows and just goes to town on ripping them to shreds. Aiden meets the stranger, who conceals their face and body entirely - claiming they have a skin condition that causes them to have an intense allergic reaction. Later in a scuffle with some raiders or zombies, the stranger's clothing gets torn - revealing them to in fact be a sapient volatile. Aiden, obviously scared, is shitting his pants after seeing this but is quickly calmed when they reach their hand out to help him up and calm down. Heck, have the DLC expand some more into the abilities Aiden had when he goes "Volatile" at certain points in the story, making the player able to use certain abilities that would be reminiscent to that of the Night Hunter from the first game. With how Aiden was experimented on when he was younger, have that be one of the reasons he doesn't get the appearance of biters or infected from the new access to these abilities.

Perhaps have the story for it lies in how the Stranger has something urgent to tell Aiden. First off, he is told that they (the stranger) are part of a group of masked nomads that somehow retain their intelligence despite becoming biters or other variants of infected - only some don't retain their humanity at night, that is. Despite the kinship they hold, the group sees it as a sort of duty to shepherd the remaining pieces of humankind in the outskirts of this New World, fending off zombies that try to attack settlements and hamlets. The reason they come to Aiden though is by how they've heard rumors about him, and believe he should learn about a shocking discovery they found - the virus is expanding to other species. Dogs, Cats, and other mammals are becoming infected with THV - and the group believes it may have something to do with either the GRE/Military before shit hit the fan or from something that Waltz did. Heck, perhaps a strain of Zoonotic THV escaped from a well-contained and hidden GRE facility. Perhaps some view the infection as more of a blessing than a curse, and believe it should be spread to all creatures...

It could have been rather fun if that was your introduction to an intelligent monster thing. Maybe it had been talking to you on the radio throughout the first half of the game and the player is just like "Nice lady on radio being helpful." and you meet her here when she pulls you up. Do it right and you blow some people's minds.

I actually turned around and hit him with my OP weapon that one shots even the big guys, did nothing to him, and he was literally right behind me the rest of the chase, never caught up

the thing that i wonder is, how tf this aiden guy survived? like. my guy u are a 20 y.o guy that traveled 2km to just come an save ur sister which u dont even know if she is still alive, in the first curscene of the game, spike says he didnt see you for 4 years which means u met spike at 16 y.o, AND survived at 16 y.o, and then traveled 2km with no safe zone, no electric, nothing, no partner. Like who tf are you my guy
