Create Entire Grocery Store From a Single Image in Blender

ABOUT ME
I've been using Blender for over half my life! That's since 2008. My first freelance work with the software was around that time as well. I did some animations for a waiting room in my local dental office. Since then, I've been hooked earning a living providing 3D services for businesses across the world. I've had the chance to do work for some big organizations like NASA and Microsoft. The real pride in my work though, has come from helping and being involved with small, independent productions. These indie productions and creators embody what it is to me, to be an artist.

I'm very proud of it! I ought to be with how much time I've put into it. 😅 It's the catch all site to access everything I create. Supporting me there is as simple as contributing the cost of one coffee per month. Doing so gets you access to all training material I've ever created. For a slightly higher support tier, you get access to my ENTIRE model and texture library! Higher still, and you'll receive recognition in all of my video and site footer credits.

Some people ask why I don't have a Patreon. This site is all about creating custom and exclusive offerings for artists. Your monthly contribution is no joke. In fact, it's my complete livelihood at this point! I don't think it's responsible for me to give away a cut of your money to third party organizations like Patreon, so it stays with me, and goes directly towards producing more content and resources.

If you want a group of items to share a single label, just join the objects! A real retail setting would probably have some grouping. I think the fact I’ve never stocked shelves is showing 🙃

This is genius!
I’ve been looking for more 2D image based asset tutorials. Would love to see more.

And a great example where AI can save time for menial/background aspects of an image, instead of “inventing” the whole piece and taking the artistry out of it.

I think I'm going to tackle the problem as an exercise and make my own node and then look at this one. Cool idea.

This is impressive :o, great tutorial, simple, to the point, and useful. It makes me wonder how this could be taken to the next level of videogame and animation productions.

This is a brilliant technique, but is there anyway you can specifically choose which image goes where that way you can group them together? Often grocery stores don't randomly place they're boxes and cans in a random order because customers want to know where they can find the thing they are looking for.

This solves a big task I am working on EXCEPT it would be nice to know how you created that image you used. Was it Offworld that you used? And that texture node... where do I get that? Your top link shows as page not found on OffWorld. Thanks!

Can you provide the Stable Diffusion prompts that you used to generate these texture atlases? Mine aren't a perfect grid like yours are.

Hmmmm. . . . makes me wonder if I have wasted 4 months of my life creating 1, 300+ different assets. The Ai generated labels idea is pretty neat though. I've tried it four times now but yours seems to be a bit more crisp than mines.
