Guilty - I have done exactly that - memorization to address anxiety but it back fired as you’ve said. I love your advice to focus on the truth as to why you’ve applied, revealing in the interview your adaptability and ability to communicate, diplomacy, influence and persuade! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and on point advice!!!

Thank you so much for these tips! I am about to embark on interviewing for a Director role at a different company (tired of my career not moving anywhere where I am at currently). These tips are very helpful. Thanks again!!!

Thank you! I got relieved that I'm on the right direction. I have been replying to interview questions differently, genuinely from my insights, at times I had self doubts, your this video cleared that self doubt completely. I have to improve the quality of words and sentences at the time of delivery and that's it.

As an HR executive there isn't a situation an interview panel can throw at me that i haven't actually dealt with throughout my career. What drives me nuts is an interview panel using "googled" interview questions at me. You don't think your vp of hr/director of hr candidate is going to recognize the canned questions?

Would it be okay to highlight a couple of achievements as you share the principles you used?

Been at the C-level for more than a decade.
This advice is so "California" - i.e. companies that allow HR to call the shots - that its a bit sad.
No CEO, COO, CRO or CFO that is worth their salt, would care about most of what was stated.

Simply determine how you can do the following :
How can I be an asset to this existing executive team/company while not being disliked? Seriously. That's it.
And notice how I did NOT say "liked." That likely won't happen regardless. You just can't be DIS-liked. Everything else is fringe.
