The Island of Philae is famous for its temples and its beautiful setting on the banks of the River Nile. Known as the Pearl of the Nile, it has been the destination of travellers for centuries. Due to the construction of the Aswan Dam the temples were move block by block to this island. The buildings include, the Great Temple of Isis, the kiosk of King Nectanebo I, the Kiosk of Trajan, Gate of Hadrian, and temples dedicated to Imhotep, Augustus and Hathor.
Apologies for some of the jerky filming, Tareq gave great teaching points and I was trying to keep up.

I would love to visit the temple to Isis and also be able to visit the remains of the original sight because not everything was moved to safety.
