The noises the night feeder makes are extremely disturbing, It doesn't sound like a creature. It sounds like a monster. They did a amazing job creating this thing.

Really love the musical cue when Spear lights his weapon on fire and looks at it with determination. It signifies the duo now having a way to finally defeat Night Feeder, discovering its weakness to fire.

I think an underappreciated moment is what happens shortly before Spear discovers the Night Feeder's weakness. Before that moment, Spear and Fang are actually coordinating together to try and confuse it by individually getting its attention to prevent it from focusing on one of them. This strategy is negated by that mega screech the Night Feeder uses.

that black gunk on fang must be a form of oily musk that the night feeder secretes as a defense against predators. some snakes secrete musk to ward off attackers. it must also double as added camouflage, but is also a double edged sword as it is also flammable. that would explain how everyone smells it before anyone sees or hears it.

I like that it's fire that ends up being the night feeders weakness. Such an unstoppable Force of Carnage and death was out down by one of humanities most basic inventions

Rewatching this made me notice that the night feeder was only hunting spear and evading fang

1:39 It’s this scene right here freaks me out more than anything. Out of all the things Spear has come across, this thing screaming is the one thing that makes him genuinely look *desperate* and act out in desperation.

Good lord that thing is horrifying. It moves so damned fast. It's claws/jaws can eat out 90% of a redwood-style tree in a single swipe/chomp. It has a paralyzing sonic attack, and can see VERY easily through darkness, though not entirely through fog... and it exudes a thick oil, or can expel a thick oil as a defensive move if something DOES get the drop on this horror. And it only retreats at light, and fire, possibly for two separate reasons. Light is bad for it, and fire can ignite its oily defense. And we don't even get to SEE it.

This needs to be its own horror movie. I'd watch the hell out of that. Especially if they don't actually show the creature at any point. Even when/if it gets killed at the end, we still don't get to see it, so the mystery is intact. That'd be great.

Okay, I'd like to know how loud the Night Feeder's screech at 1:28 is on the decibel scale? But given how spear and fang were in physical pain and how they were practically incapacitated, I wouldn't be surprised its screech exceded well over 170 decibels. Plus that is just fucking terrifying, imagine hearing that at night when you're alone. Still gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I hear it.

Spear and Fang running to a foggy area actually gave them an advantage. They can’t see the Night Feeder, but the Night Feeder also can’t see them.

1:28 I got chills and goosebumps when the Night Feeder made a bloodcurdling screech so loud, Spear had to cover his ears, this creature is not an ordinary dinosaur, seeing that it's blood is a flammable substance and it kills with insane strength and speed, seemingly for sport and not just to feed. I could deduce from its death scene that it might be a Velociraptor/Baryonyx type of abomination and its long razor sharp claws are like the Therizinosaurus. Now thats really scary.
