I think the tiger was representing the female character that became romantically involved with Neil Breen's character. The female character had a tiger tattoo, and I think since Neil Breen's character was a artificial intelligence that was superior to all human beings he saw the female character on the same level as a feral animal. My other possible theory is that Neil Breen just wanted to be next to tiger.
