I prefer the original, but this is still a decent sequel. I like seeing Dory’s backstory and this is definitely one of the most emotional Pixar movies, for sure. Especially the scene where we see how Dory got separated from her family. 😢😢😢💙

0:42 I’m gonna defend this a little bit, I don’t like the “im mad at u so we’re gonna split up” trope but I think it’s a bit justified on Marlins end Dory DID drag them out to the sea and got Nemo injured I think I’d lash out too

Yeah, it’s agreeable that none of the “non Toy Story Pixar sequels” are above 7/10

I wonder if next year’s Inside Out 2 would change that?

As much as I love Dory, I can’t help but feel like the writers of this made her forget a lot more frequently, compared to the first movie. To the point where it gets pretty annoying.

I too consider this to be the best non-Toy Story Pixar sequel. One of the most underrated films Pixar has made in recent years and deserves more love.
