Huge fan of Piximperfect, and at this point watched 100+ of Unmesh’s amazing tutorials. This is the first video solution that didn’t work for me, so I had to crack this somehow.

His video works beautifully for color moiré, but not pattern moiré. I watched literally every video I could find on YouTube about this topic, and the only thing that worked for me is Gaussian blur or tilt-shift blur. I understand that won’t work for all pattern moiré troubles, but I was desperate.

If Unmesh updates this video, it would be interesting to hear about how most cameras these days lack an anti-aliasing filter (which prevents moiré, but causes blur) and how when shooting in the future, increasing the focal length and a higher aperture can prevent this. Can also have a brief discussion on frequency cancellation.

Finally, Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore” helped me learn how to say moiré:

“When the light hits your silk like the rippling of milk, that’s a moiré!”

omg. i just spent a long time searching through my bookmarks to try and find this video again.
i would have noted it as remove yellow dots, or remove noise from microphone, photoshop, piximperfect...
i wasn't even sure for certain if it was your video after i couldn't find a link. apparently, i didn't bookmark it!
i found it because i was ready to search through all of your channels videos, looking for a familiar thumbnail that had an image of the microphone i recalled you editing.. and it just so happens that it was a recent video. thank goodness! so happy to find this again! :D maybe actually using it this time will allow me to remember what you did.

Dear Unmesh. Moiré is a French word referring to the changing reflected light patterns of cloth like velvet, silk and sometimes linen. An example: the cardinals in Rome wear red moiré silk vestments. You do a good job of pronouncing the word moiré but it should sound like mwa-ray. Love your tutorials. Keep up the good work.

1:00 there's no brush - or whatever buttons on that windows header - in Photoshop 21. How do I enable and/or apply that filter?!
