Arduino Portenta Vision Shield (ft. OpenMV examples)

The Portenta Vision Shield brings industry-rated features to your Arduino Portenta. This hardware add-on will let you run embedded computer vision applications, connect wirelessly or via Ethernet to the Arduino Cloud or your own infrastructure, and activate your system upon the detection of sound events.

- a 324x324 pixels camera sensor: use one of the cores in Portenta to run image recognition algorithms using the OpenMV for Arduino editor
- a 100 Mbps Ethernet connector: get your Portenta H7 connected to the wired Internet
- two on-board microphones for directional sound detection: capture and analyse sound in real time
- JTAG connector: perform low-level debugging of your Portenta board or special firmware updates using an external programmer
- SD-Card connector: store your captured data in the card, or read configuration files

I can't believe I just bought a grayscale camera
"Color Filter Array Monochrome and Bayer"
the product page says "monochrome and Bayer" what are there trying to say here does it support color or I have to perform image processing with this grayscale.
is there any why I can capture color images.
if its QVGA in grayscale I highly doubt what will be the resolution when used in color(if supported)

My vision shield is not working. After about 3 seconds of streaming the video back to OpenMV, the image freezes, and then shortly after the portenta h7 disconnects. I've tried different laptops and different USB cables. Has anyone else had the same problem?
