Seems like it doesn't work if you eat a certain number of dots... definitely works when the levels start... also seems to work better if you approach the position from underneath approaching to the right... UPDATE After playing even more it kind of seems like it works as long as the ghosts are not in pursuit when you pull the maneuver...it does seem though that after a certain dot count, eventually one of the ghosts will see you from the right corridor and start to pursue you

They will sometimes still find you. I believe it depends when you hide in there.

Thats' not 100% true. There are modes of behavior for the ghosts and their are time when it can change and they can find you there. When the board has run through all 4 of those modes then it's good for the rest of the time on the board.
