As a chef, i had a discussion today with an ex chef who runs a program training people with learning disabilities how to work on mitchens and food safety. He told me about how they take different breads from dollar store wonder bread to high quality bread from a local bakery and touch ot to different surfaces to show how bacteria spreads, and the affect on fake foods to real foods. Wonder bread wouldnt mould after 15 weeks, while real fresh bread withon days developed lots of mould

Of coarse its bread, I dont know if youv noticed but there are different kinds of bread. Wonder bread is sandwich bread, its made specificly to be uniform size and consistancy.

I lived in Russia for 2 years. I can confirm that I repeatedly heard “I can have some butter on two slices of Russian bread and be full. I can eat an entire American loaf of bread and still be hungry!”

Brilliant! If there's ANYTHING all Russians can agree on is that American packaged bread is no bread at all. "Bread-flavored inhalable sponge" is being too kind to that soft floury mess 😏
