Hmmm, I just established a lawn of 100% crabgrass. Looks good when mowed, nice color and has amazing roots that stabilize soil and prevent erosion better than most ornamentals. Rather than fight it, I embraced it.

I'm dealing with Crabgrass (of course) and 2 wierd ones, Spotted Spurge and of all things Dog Fennel! 🤷🏾‍♂️

Nice. Now how do I encourage the carpetgrass and eliminate the "lawn?" Why is carpetgrass a weed? It grows in poor soil conditions, which defines my soil, and sounds like no effort.

Those are not always weeds, they can be the easiest lawns to have, without lots of chemicals and water. Bahaya was all i saw as a kid. Now Bermuda grass, thats a weed.
