If you like fantasy mixed with romance, I HIGHLY recommend Fourth Wing!

Look forward to hearing what you think about Powerless! The start was a little slow for me but it definitely picked up by the end - Reckless is much more of a romance book and I adored it ❤ Also I recommend you read Liz Tomforde’s Mile High series if you haven’t already! Such good romances and they get better by the book 😍 xxx

Hi Ellen,

I am happy I've found your channel. I love all your content but book-content is my absolute favourite.
Lately, I have been obsessed with crime stories, but not the thriller/horror-vibe ones, but the old-school Agatha Christie with humour, wit and life lessons. My latest favourite is Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club series - it is about 4 pensioners (a nurse, an ex-agent, a boxer and a psychiatrist). The way these incredible people meet in a luxury pensioner village, form their murder club, solve mysteries and try to familiarize themselves with the 21st-century-life, while also allowing a heartwarming look at their lives...it's simply unbelievable. I lauged out loud on one page and cried from the bottom of my heart the next. I still think about a lot of thoughts and questions mentioned in these amazing books. Highly recommend if looking for a bit of mystery, a lot of laughter and a handful of heartwarming moments. 😇🥰

Powerless was a 5 star for me (even though I definitely don’t love trial books), and the novella powerful was just as good (just short). I’m halfway through reckless and I have to slow myself down. I just love Lauren Roberts writing. The banter is so good and I find myself just smiling randomly.

Hi Ellen!

I cannot wait for your review of Powerless. It was a 5🌟 read for me, and the novella between Powerless and Reckless, Powerful, had me in tears. It’s beautiful!

I really hope you enjoy it! And I love these book videos + your vlogs. You’re one of my favourite YouTubers to watch🥰💕

I adored When the moon Hatched - it’s high fantasy but with an amazing slow burn, enemies to lovers ❤

The last years I spent reading mostly non fiction books because I thought „I am a grown up woman - I should not enjoy these books“ and I can‘t thank you more for bringing back my spark for fantasy books.
My favorite of the year might be silver flames but mist and fury is on a close hunt to that. Just finished wild love and I think I am going to move on with throne of glass, now that you said so. Love the book vlogs 🫶🏼☺️

Oh man, I loved those HOEAB and HOSAB covers!

The HOFAS paperback won’t match your first two as Bloomsbury were using AI for those first two novels (I own them too) and so they aren’t continuing the same design 😅

Hi Ellen, Love you books videos. Really good mid year book tag. So many book recommendations. I would highly recommend any book written by Lauren Asher. I think it is kind of the same writing style and vibe as the Essie Silver books.

You’ve sold me on Elsie Silver - I’ve just started the first book in the Chestnut Springs series, so excited for it! 🤠 ✨

Hi Ellen ! Thanks I love your book videos, this is so inspiring. If you want some good recommendations, you have to read "Numéro Deux" or "Number Two" in english by David Foenkinos. I loved it, it's a fictional story about the boy who didn't get the part of "Harry Potter" in the movies. It's such a beautiful story, it moved me and it's also a lesson of life !

I recommend reading anything by Carley Fortune. She’s a Canadian author and does the most lovely job romanticising summer love stories set in Canada. She’s definitely an author I will read anything by.

Haven't tuned in for a while so it's been a pleasure to watch! There are a fair few you mentioned I'd love to try. I did spy where the crawdads sing in the background. I fell in love with the main character and still think of her months later! There is a pond I pass on my daily dog walk and I always take bird seed for the ducks and I have actually named one of the ducks Kya after her!! 😂 I feel you understand my weirdness, well at least I hope so! 😂

This is outside your normal genres, but would love for you to read The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series - it is a series of crime novels set in Botswana. Kind of think of a young black Miss Marple, they are so easy to read and you will learn a lot about the culture of that region.😍

I love how much enjoyment you get from reading, makes me excited about my own books haha.

You sold me on the Once Upon a Broken Heart Trilogy, just got the first book! I can't wait to read it. :) I would highly recommend checking out Hades x Persephone Trilogy by Scarlett St. Clair if you like greek mythology with a twist. Also The Iron Fey Series by Julie Kagawa is one of my personal favorites as well. 😍
