US Role in Deadly ATACMS Strike on Crimean Beach & Why Ukraine Calls Crimeans 'Civilian Occupiers'

- A deadly ATACMS strike on a Crimean beach left several civilians dead including children, followed by Moscow blaming Washington for the attack;

- Senior Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak refused to apologize for the attack, instead insisting civilians are considered “occupiers” and that signs of peaceful life on the peninsula cannot be allowed;

- The US provides Ukraine with all targeting data for HIMARS/M270 strikes for both shorter range guided rockets and longer range ATACMS according to the Washington Post;

- Leaked audio between senior German military officers reveal that all NATO long-range weapons require NATO mission planning and targeting data transferred to Ukrainians, with the addition of US and British personnel on the ground helping prepare weapons for strikes;

- The deadly attack is only the latest in a long line of atrocities enabled by US-NATO support of Ukraine's various governments following the US overthrow of Ukraine's elected government in 2014;

My family live in Crimea for a little more than 100 years. I guess i'm "civilian occupier" too, i voted on referendum to join Russia, after all. How ukrops expected us to react to this? If hatred towards Ukrainian state was not peaked among Crimeans before, it sure did so now

One fact, supressed in the West and in Ukraine is there was a referendum in Crimea in 1991, even before Ukraine gained independence. They wanted to split from Ukraine and become an independent republic. They won majority of vites, but Ukraine refused to recognize the results.

First of all until 1991 the whole Ukraine was part of UDSSR including Crimea. The West guaranteed that NATO would not move one inch closer once they would become a sovereign country. Ukraine only became a problem when the US and Europe were not holding their promises and made a regime change and thereafter the whole problem we got now was created by NATO.
