I just got my 4 year residency through this program in Querétaro and it's important to note that I was able to get a 7 day FMM/tourist visa on arrival at the airport (I know this doesn't always work however they asked how long I was staying, I said 7 days and thankfully that's what they gave me!), and once it expired it worked perfectly, I didn't need a 180 day FMM whatsoever, at least in Querétaro.

Hey everyone and thanks for tuning in! I made a small error in my presentation, namely: after 4 years of being a Temporary Resident, you only need to be a Permanent Resident for 1 YEAR, not 2 years as I stated in the video before you can apply for your Mexican citizenship :) Also, for people who do not qualify financially and do not 'officially' qualify for this program either, there are other options such as having a 'job offer' from a Mexican company. Good video on this! Just to share, the regularization program began I believe in 2015. It was for the many illegal caravan people from South America who lived here quite a while. They would open the program at different times over the years. When many tourists, mostly us Canadians were stuck with no flights back in 2020 they activated the program. It was a great blessing! I have my 4 yr also. Just curious on your contact for the alternative option you mentioned for about $80, 000. I have a contact also in your area though its a different fee. Would you share yours? Thanks! 🙏

What if you havnt been to Mexico between the years mentioned? I was in Mexico many times 2010 and prior.
