So many people are moving from California to Portland, Oregon. Why? Today I’ll tell you why so many of our clients are moving from California to Portland, Oregon!

Portland Oregon is a truly wonderful place to live. Many of our clients have shared with us that they have always lived in California, but as they began raising their families, they started to notice certain aspects of California that they weren't entirely fond of.

Between the tight-knit community, the excellent schools, the sense of freedom, the clean and safe environment, the pleasant weather, and the manageable traffic, Boise, Idaho just makes sense for so many families. The reasons they've chosen to move are likely similar to some of the reasons you might be considering a move.

If you’re looking to move from California to Portland, Oregon, or from anywhere else in the country or around the world, we can assist you in making a smooth transition to Portland! We specialize in helping relocation buyers here in the Portland area, and we’d be thrilled to help you make Portland your new home. Whether you prefer to call, text, or email, we're here for you and would be delighted to assist.

I have lived in the Portland area for almost 10 years now and I love it. Ignore whatever negativity you’ve heard because it’s probably either untrue or grossly exaggerated. Portland is an awesome place to live!

I agree with the some of the other comments. $525K is just for something that isn’t a dump. It rains for 9 months. If you do see the sun, it’s super cold and windy. Oh and I get that CA is expensive but stop moving here! Cali go home.
Portland used to be affordable, now we are North SF.

No sales tax :)!! lived in Portland about 40 years ago as a child. I think about it often. Plus, the Fred Meyer stores are awesome :-)

The median house price won't get you into a good neighborhood. 750k is more realistic. County taxes are very high. Public schools are terrible so if
care about your children's education you will most likely be paying for private schools. Been here over 40 years. I won't leave but it is very hard to live here, financial y. I work downtown. Still full of homeless and open drug use. This guy is oversimplifying and not addressing many challenges. He's painting a very rosy picture.

Cheap housing (Portland) at $525, 000? That's still too high for many unless both make 100K+ a yr. and no kids. San Diego is ridiculous at $949, 000, but at least there's not 9 months of rain there like Portland has. Summer in Portland is July, August, September. June is still wet being the last month of Spring. In many cases, Portland rents are higher than a monthly mortgage.
