How I soak my wood wicks in 2023.

I always soak my wood wicks in Olive Oil no matter where I purchase them from. If you ever had a problem with your wood wicks not staying lit, try this.

Most of the time I let them soak between 12-24 hours using Olive Oil. No particular brand.

I only work with cotton wicks b/c I have tested wooden wicks from just about everywhere from Amazon to Makesy, and none of them would stay lit after the first 4-hour burn. I am definitely trying this out TODAY! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

How long will the wicks be good for after letting them dry 24hrs? Do you have to re-soak if you don’t use them for a few weeks?

Just tried to make a candle out of ised wax and the wick wont stay lit. Thats why apparently!! Now i need to do this and redo the candle lol
