Do I need to set up something if connect to my local network via a USB modem to one of the USB ports on the recorder? If it required, and how to set? Thanks.

When is someone going to build an NVR that really is plug and play with cameras? I swapped out 3 cameras and then all the problems started. First pictures started dropping out, then they wouldn't load at all. A factory reset made things even worse and 12 cameras are now down to only showing 4 and they stop working sometime during the night. How have you made something that should be simple into such a train wreck? Between camera makers and builders you've made a completely dogs breakfast of marrying things up. What I have now is an expensive piece of useless metal and cameras that work but can't be seen. Lift your game. At least the old 720-1080 systems worked easily. And don't put videos out Jeff if you can't be bothered to answer the questions asked even after you've invited viewers to!
