Expeditions (1-5 players) is a competitive, card-driven, engine-building game of exploration. Play cards to gain power, guile, and unique worker abilities; move your mech to mysterious locations and gain cards found among the tiles; use workers, items, meteorites, and quests to enhance your mech; and use power and guile to vanquish corruption.

Thank you for sharing this review. Expeditions is a very good game. I have found that unlike Scythe, which is very engaging and retains strategic depth without the need for any its expansions, Expeditions seems to need one (which is in the works) to address its minor deficiencies that have held it back from being a great game. 🖖

Agree with your assessment, this is a good game. Found it especially more enjoyable once I focused more on the cards, whereas at first I think I was more interested in exploring and such but seems you really have to be collecting cards as much as possible along the way 😀
