An overview of my first medium format film camera, the Mamiya 645 Super. I took it on a photo trip to the American Southwest and shot 4 rolls of Kodak and Cinestill film.

your color grading is absolutely some of the best I've ever seen, esp the blue hour stuff on Day 1.

edit: also, I went to Arizona in March and I loved every second of the trip and being the Saguaro Nat Park East during a freak-blizzard was such a surreal experience. I love your images so much and it's making me want to be back there all over again.

loved this! A perfect mix of some technical informations about the camera at the beginning of the video and a relaxed vlog kind of video, with stunning pictures and perfect colorgrading!

This was an incredible beautiful video. I'm also very happy for you, that you got your Mamiya Super. It is a dream of mine to get one too. God Bless you all. Roger

Great images, and well graded video. Very enjoyable watch. I recently came into the 645 Super and 645E, with the 55 and 80 lenses. I find them a joy to shoot. Great tip for strapping the Super, and its annoying clip requirements. I have the clips on the 645E, and usually don’t take them out together, so just swap one of the clips with a PD anchor to the Super, and have the same PD tripod mount as you. Happy shooting.

I was about to write a long comment to tell you my appreciation for your work, but I don't want to look like maniac, since I just wrote you yesterday.

So I'm going to keep it short and simple, yet with a lot of meaning behind each word :

I thank the universe for you three existing.

What a remarkably beautiful video this is! I am extremely tempted to replace my RB67 for the 645, to have something lighter and more portable. I can only hope to have an eye even half as good as yours, though. Have a wonderful day, thank you for entertaining me with yet another awesome vid!

Wow, another amazing video. Glad you survived the near death experience!! LOL - Loved everything about this. Feeling inspired to take the MamiyaRB67 for it's maiden voyage now. Also, I want more of Jill's 35mm photography!!

You guys absolutely killed it with the photos of the sunset cacti!! Was blown away by Jillians captures. How did she pull that much dynamic range?!?

Dylan, what an excellent, highly informative video. I've got a few digital cameras both full frame and medium format, but have got back into 35mm film in the last few years when I bagged a cheap Leica R8 ( lenses expensive ), followed by a Contax RTS III ( lenses cheap as chips ). Your pictures have convinced me that an up and coming visit to the Scottish Isles could do with the medium format film look. Simply stunning. Thank you.
