I like how they get more and more intense until the last one which is just “it’s the 1940s now”

SungWon: "fuck off about me doing sketches I'll do them when I want"
Also SungWon: "I'll call now"

The 40s version was so good I went above "enjoy the joke" level and reached "be fascinated by the genius" level.

The 1940s one blows my mind, the acting and sound quality are both closer to an actual classic film than any other parody I’ve ever seen

This just shows how important acting is to a scene. No matter the writing, even if it is the best ever, you need a proper interpretation.

The 1940s one is AMAZING. The voices are perfect; it’s like listening to actual recording from that era!

The 3rd one is absolutely brilliant. At first I thought "there's no way, that doesn't even make any sense", but it quickly turned out to be the best of the lot.

Straight up though, this was an actual acting exercise we had in drama. You had lines with no direction on how to say them, and you could put whatever subtext, context, or emphasis on whatever you wanted the lines to mean.

I hate and love how this is a perfect example of how the interpretation of plays changes entirely based on acting and line delivery. I have no choice but to show this in my Shakespeare classes moving forward.

How niche do you want to go with this skit?

Sung Won: *Yes*

Every commercial break in the 90s and early 2000s showed this at least once.

I thought, "What Sears commerical? I'm sure I won't know this."

Then realized I was completely wrong as it dawned on me how ingrained these lines actually were in my brain.

I expected this to be four completely different, unique scenes that would somehow evoke what the original commercial was. The fact that it's using exactly the same dialogue while also _still being completely unique_ is really fucking impressive.

This is your reminder to get your AC now before they're all sold out for the summer again

The 40's was so matter-of-fact. I really appreciate their direct approach

I know you're a great voice actor, but your transatlantic accent at the end is particularly SPOT ON; especially the short, clipped T's. Very well done, dude.

I love how for the evil vizier one he changes the dialogue to mention a see-er instead of a newspaper but they're still talking about calling Sears to buy an air conditioner lmao

The '40s one absolutely deserves to be as lauded as it has been, but the villain/politician scene is just as impressive!

This brought back a memory that I had forgotten I had. Also, can you imagine getting your weather forecasts from the newspaper?

I truly appreciate how Sung Won only does skits like this when the content is timely, relevant, and essential to help our society heal.
