I dont know what on earth these crazy hater comments are about but I feel the same. When you stack up each camera and what you can do vs what you need to do the A1 II is a really complete camera its just the price holding it back and lack of internal raw for true professional video. Lets be honest though as a jack of all trades its still the perfect middle ground. Everyone else is too laser focused on shortcomings when if your a pro video shooter you arent buying this as a cinema camera but the fact your can get so deep in video with such a good camera for photo as well is really something as there is always a problem with every single other comparison camera body weather bad overheating bad stabilization bad AF you name it but this can just do it.. This having full frame 4k 60 and great codec options WITH dynamic active stabe is like having an A1 and a ZVE1 in one and with the BEST screen usability in the game it's hard to beat. True is expensive but if your buying a new body every year your probably doing it wrong anyway this camera will serve many well. Is this worth it over the a9 III for those focusing more on video but still into photo is the real question

The only real complaint I have about this camera is its lack of a shutter shield, like many other flagship cameras have. In this price point, this feature should be included.

Did they change that god awful backscreen from the A7RV and A9III ? I mean did they get rid of the vertical stripes that make it look 720p lowres?

I sold all my gear ($20, 000 worth) and downgraded to an original A9
I'm done lusting over trying to keep up every year so I went back to basics and I've never felt better about Photography and videography

Good choice. I would go with the A7R5 because I shoot mainly stills and it's a little more affordable. But man, that A1 ii is a monster of a machine. I read all the specs, and it impressed. I have the A7CR and a6700, both of which have the AI chip and vastly improved focusing system. It is a wow factor over the previous models without those new chips. Best wishes and looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

So it can only do 8k30? With a stacked sensor and such a fast processor I see no reason why it cant do 60p like its two main rivals from Canon and Nikon. Which can also do raw internally btw.

Many of my clients complain that the Videos shot with new generation SONY alpha cameras cause more eye strain leading to puffy and swollen under eyes. Videos shot with SONY ZV 1 cause absolutely no eye strain but rest of the newly launched alpha cameras cause severe eye strain. SONY should try to fix this problem. We understand SONY wants its footage to look cinematic but that seems to be the cause of the problem. Hope SONY CORP. takes this concern with good spirit.

Something I've not been able to find anyone talk about; does the A1ii have focus breathing compensation in 8K? The A1 only supported breathing compensation in 4K modes
