Did I just make a mistake??? What would be YOUR MAIN CAMERA this year????

The guy with 160K subscribers still feels awkward vlogging in public. I take great comfort in that. "Stars, they're just like us!"

I bought the a6700 and was blown away by it compared to my last APS-C model the a6500. It actually is a better camera ergonomically than my a7C and has a better grip than the a7Cii. I just love using it and have been rediscovering all my old, neglected APS-C lenses!

Do you mind sharing your A7Cii setup for photography and videography? 😅There aren't a lot of video guide for A7Cii setup. I'm currently playing around with my setup to see what works best. It would be nice to see your setup 😁.

I wish Sony would implement the A7RV rear screen where you have the choice of tilting or articulating, but it makes for a thicker camera.

I own even the original a7c and I'm in love with it to this day along with the silver design in the top. The best part is the size and weight for portability. Highly recommend a7c for a perfect middle ground of photo and video

Yeah the A7cii especially the Silver one has been a joy to use. I carry it everywhere and its size and versatility is great. I still have the A7RV which I use for more robust project where I want the better EVF, screen and need redundancy. Plus it handles better with some of the large zooms.

It actually very logical and more common than you would think. I know of many people that sell their old cameras and used the funds to buy the new model, given that cameras are so fungible and lose their value with new models release. That being said, there’s one area where the original A7c shine over the A7c2… battery life!

Does this have two card slots like the Nikon Zf? Debating between two, but for a gig, definitely need two card slots.

I have the A6700 and im considering the A7CR as an upgrade path. All my APSC glass will work on the A7CR in crop mode, and I will still get 26MP! Then I can start upgrading to FE glass. When I want to go light, I just bring some APSC glass like the Sigma 18-50 and still get 26MP.

Been using the a7c as my main(and only) camera since it came out. Loved it so much that i ended up picking up the a7cii for my studio and its done great. Also decided to order a pocket 3 today to prep for some client work. Not sure if you mentioned it, but did you have an ND or VND for the pocket 3 in this video? Is it necessary?

Thank you for the video. For two camera setup for travel I went with a A7CII + A7CR because I really only shoot stills and need a true backup. My bigger full size full frame cameras are the A1 + A7RV but those are getting left at home more and more. So far so good. We will see. Take care

Update: took delivery of the new Sony FE 24-50/2.8 G and very happy with its smaller size to keep my bag and my cameras lighter. Planning to also get the FE 16-25/2.8 G but right now have the zoom on one body and take a couple of small primes for the other body like my Batis 85/1.5 or 40/2.5 G. All fits easily in my Shimoda Urban Explorer 25L similar in size to camera bag you were using. Take care.

I'll be curious to know how the a7c Mark II does in outdoor Texas heat. I shoot Sony regularly for video but when it comes to outdoors I have to use my gh5.

If you sold everything and kept A7C II, what do you use indoors for your desk headshot setup?

My A7c II is attached to a teleprompter and It feels annoying to keep attaching/detaching it every time I switch between In-studio/Outdoors .. Did you face the same issue using one main camera?

Sidney, just curious, are you doing wedding gigs with just the a7cii? I'm not a pro - hobby only - but I can't imagine a situation where I don't have my fx3, zve1 and a7cii (I love all 3 of them!), definitely like my Pocket 3 too. The a7cii is one of my all-time favorite bodies but I can't imagine it as my only camera, especially if I were doing paid shoots.

Is it good for professional work ?.i can't still decided either a7iv or a7cii

I sold my Sony A7riii, A7iii, and most of my full frame lenses for the Sony a6700. I’m no longer working as a professional photographer and solely for myself and wanted a lighter setup. I heavily debated between the Cii and the a6700. The crop censor offer lighter lenses and if I want really good stability in low light, I picked up the Pocket 3
