Ron, I remember a friend (with fantastic facial form) who was a personal trainer and described how she would engage her tongue hard and bite against it, whenever she went into any hard action. It makes sense that you are creating a perfectly designed crumple zone of pre-stressed bone right in front of your airway. Although many of you will lack the tongue space to do this. Good video as ever, Mike

Honestly, I think the most underrated benefit of mewing is that its made me look at peoples faces and analyse them. Now, as an Asperger's person; its not exactly eye contact but it is close enough second.

Agree my neck and overall posture improved so much by mewing. I no longer have those neck pains and lower back issues i had. Can't deny i did mewing for improving looks but i think im more proud of the fact that my breathing has improved my overall mood and energy.

around 1 year tongue posture practice now: am 53, agree with you fully: even if it is supposed to be very difficult to effect bone structure in maturity it is absolutely beneficial and worthwhile to practice Mewing for general posture and neck strength.

I have been mewing for a month now and in my first few days practising it it felt so hard but after a week it was like just normal and i am getting used to it. Now if I intentionally don't mew it feels so weird, I can see changes now and I can say there's changes in my jawline which I am so jealous about from so many people before and I will keep doing it my whole life, I am so happy that there's this thing called mewing and I thought of sharing it to you guys just keep on doing it it's worth it and no harm will be done.
Last thing is it did help my breathing it is more relax now

I have scoliosis and I feel that my overall posture has gotten better since I started mewing one year ago, and I’m 29.

I have heard and felt cracks in my neck from time to time throughout the journey which I felt was my neck/spine extending.

One Dr coined the term Glosso-postural syndrome which I think is very real. The tongue spine connection is very cool.

I kind of look at the tongue as similar to the arch of the foot. It supports the skull. The root like you said supports the occipital area.

Actually, the thing that attracted me to the idea was the possibility of mewing helping me with my sleep apnea without surgery or machines that are costly.

For me it was sleeping lol. I now sleep like a baby without my tongue trying to kill me in my sleep.

I used to spar in a martial arts center and one time I got punched on the side of the jaw with a slightly open mouth. That made my head feel like it was gonna fly off!

One of the most underrated things you can do to support your mewing and MSE expansion tbh, is fasting.

Fasting and especially being physically active during said fast, has been shown to be the single best way to encourage an adult body to naturally produce HGH, I haven't found direct link between mewing and HGH (no studies have been done in this regard) but it would make a lot of sense that it would definitely aid in growth

I just started mewing yesterday after watching a bunch of videos. Probably close to 12 hrs consistently and have definitely noticed the back of my neck getting sore and hot. I was actually wondering if I were getting sick . Don't think I would have connected it to the mewing.
