I know this video has been up for a little while but I've only just discovered your channel. You have a lovely gentle, relaxing style of narration, which is great. I especially like this video because I own a Centaur, which is moored at Cardigan. I've only owned her for 1 year, and this year's plan is to take her to Lunch. So, you've been very helpful. Excellent video which really helped me to feel more confident about passing through the Sounds, as I plan to do on my soon-to-commence sail around Britain. I’ll be going the other way, though, but your local knowledge and clear commentary are invaluable nonetheless.

Thanks again Mike for a comprehensive pilotage overview of a part of the Welsh coast I am not familiar with. I doubt I will ever sail this area but you have a knack of providing anyone who wishes to venture into these waters with clear, succinct commentary which must instill confidence to any WAFI. Thanks for this excellent video. I went through Jack and Ramsey sounds a few days ago and followed your timings to the letter. The sounds were no problem at all. A little choppy getting up to Blackstone rock, but after that, the waters on your recommended track were pretty smooth.

That trip must have been quite recent as you passed my Cornish shrimper on the moorings just outside Milford marina, think I might have been going out that day looked a nice clean breeze 😉

You should try further up the Cleddau, up past Neyland next time, it becomes less industrial and there are some very pretty spots.

Hi Mike, your channel has become one my "main to watch", not just that i like the videos, but they are truly helpful too.
I didn't know that its possible to do the two sounds in one go. I will need to do it (hopefully soon) south bound direction. Do you think is it possible to make Fishguard - Dale in one go?? I'll really appreciate if you can give me any tip you can think of!

Nice explanations, pity about the weather. In Brittany there are rocks called "the pig", "the sow", and they are just as friendly as the "bitches"! A small comment: if you panned more slowly when going around I wouldn’t have to grab for the seasickness tablets!!! Keep up the good videos and many thanks.
