Is The Cadillac Escalade Super Cruise Better Than Tesla's Autopilot? (REAL WORLD TEST)

This is my REAL world review of the Cadillac Escalade Super Cruise (GMC Cruise) compared to the Tesla Autopilot. In this video I showcase some of the amazing self driving capabilities of the GMC cruise on this Cadillac Escalade ESV Sports Platinum 2023 (a car that is worth $150k CAD) and specifically how it excels in self lane changes, distance management, autopilot feedback, and a TRUE hands off experience.

Valuable Tip... Do Not press the turn signal lever all the way so that it locks down/up. GM designed the turn signal lever with a "Lange Change Feature", simply press and hold Without enough pressure to lock it down ( for left, or up for right ) and hold there for just a second or two... the turn signal will stay on for a few seconds and automatically turn off. This is the case with all GM cars, with or without Super Cruise.

FSD is so much better than super cruise. Sure you don’t have to touch the wheel with super cruise, but as someone who owns a Tesla with FSD, and an Escalade with super cruise, FSD is so much better because it can take you through city roads, any highway, neighborhoods, and it even has great auto park and a cool smart summon feature.

This is helpful. I just got my 23 Escalade few months again and taking our first long road trip from teslas to Florida. This feature is about to come handy for sure on the highway

I have both a Tesla and a Silverado. The super cruise on the Silverado is great with two exceptions; it tends to brake at the last second when encountering slower traffic (regardless of distance setting), and hits the brakes really hard. Also, the super cruise doesn't take evasive action if another vehicle drifts into my lane. However, the super cruise will allow you to gently add input to the steering wheel if the driver deems it necessary. When adding slight steering wheel input on the Tesla, the autopilot will shut off. Overall, my preference for freeway driving is super cruise.

To initiate a lane change you can just tap down or up on the turn signal shaft. You don't have to put it in the down or up position.

I have a 2023 model S tesla and my tesla changes lanes by itself and turns on and off the blinker on its own. I also have the full self driving feature and I can push a button on my steering wheel and tell my tesla to take me wherever, and if does. If you enter an address in the cadi, will it take you there, or is supercruise just like an upgraded cruise control that can't take you to a destination? I'm asking because I'm contemplating purchasing one, thanks

I own a Model S Plaid and an Escalade. It’s not even remotely comparable. Tesla FSD drives me everywhere. I love my Escalade but this video is a complete joke. The Tesla drives me door to door wherever I want to go and I don’t have to touch the wheel.

You should review the new Audi A8 which has Level 3 Autonomous Driving, as this and Tesla are Level 2, Super Cruise is definitely creeping up on level 3, but the restrictions on where the system can work is hurting it quite a bit .

Tesla FSD is much much better. It does all lane changing and traffic lights and signs detection. FSD is available on every Tesla model, not just super expensive ones like Chevy

It's so cringe when non-car tech-bro's review cars. He kept calling it "Escalade" when he meant "Cadillac". This is just just a pandering review because Caddy lent him a car.

On the tech side, SuperCruise isn't anywhere close to as advanced as FSD. SuperCruise will take you down a divided highway, but FSD will take you through unmapped neighbourhoods and navigate intersections and cross-walks etc. As a tech guy, you'd hope he knew the difference.
